The /bin/sh that comes with 386BSD cannot handle some of the hairy
quoting that the C news configuration does.  This makes it produce
bad sed scripts and stuff like that.

I suggest copying /bin/bash over /bin/sh.  It works better.  Some people
have reported trouble with bash for sh, but we haven't had any.

bash comes in the etc distribution.
