It won't, I'm afraid.

If what you need to do is run DOS/Windows apps then actually my very
best recommendation is to run Win95. :-)

Using either Linux or FreeBSD to run Windows stuff is just silly.  Sure,
you can do a little bit with Wine and a little bit more with WABI, but
if Windows apps are what you want then running Windows is unquestionably
the best way to use them with any reliability and if I needed to run
DOS/Windows apps with any frequency (and I don't) then I'd simply build
another box, load NT on it and then use NTrigue from NCD to put an NT
session wherever I wanted it.  The NT box probably wouldn't even have a
monitor attached.
