The boot drive is 420MB and the other is a 1.2 Gig. The system is installed fine and runs OK except when it comes to booting. I want it to reboot and go straight into FreeBSD, but that is where I am having problems. It gets to the "Boot:" prompt OK, and tries to start the kernel, and that's where I get the following error message over and over: Boot: dosdev = 81, biosdrive = 1, unit = 1, maj = 0 Bad bad sector table Can't find /kernel And then it goes back to the "Boot:" prompt and repeats this message forever. I can, however, type in the following by hand: Boot:wd(0,a)/kernel And it will say: dosdev = 80, biosdrive = 0, unit = 0, maj = 0 And then it will finish booting up with no problem. How in the world can I get it to boot automatically without me having to be at the machine to type in that line???
