Yes I've seen tk3play. Quite liked the interface, but need mpg123
working first. :)

Yes I've had sound before. In particular, .au files will play using
cat boing.au > /dev/audio
However, such sounds never "stop". i.e. a CNTRL-C needs to be issued to
kill the cat process.

Kernel details are as follow.
Version is FreeBSD 2.1.5 (soon to be upgraded to 2.2.1)

sb0 at 0x220 irq 7 drq 1 on isa
sb0: <SoundBlaster 16 4.13>
sbxvi0 at 0x0 drq 5 on isa
sbxvo0: <SoundBlaster 16 4.13>
sbmidi0 at 0x330 on isa
 <SoundBlaster MPU-401>

The only conflict is with the lpt0 driver, which is also irq 7
But I believe this shouldn't cause any problems if you use a CONFLICTS
or something directive in the kernel config.

Any advice or pointers greatly appreciated.
