Date: Sun, 08 Jun 1997 21:34:37 GMT Organization: Sprynet News Service Lines: 9 Message-ID: <339b242f.2015209@news.sprynet.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: dd04-071.compuserve.com X-Newsreader: Forte Free Agent 1.11/32.235 Xref: euryale.cc.adfa.oz.au comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc:42614 Everytime I go to install FreeBSD (all versions except 3.0 SNAP) on my 486 DX2-50 with 16MB RAM and a 1GB HD, it first tries to sync disks, then it says "kernel panic: integer divide fault" and it says it will reboot in 15 seconds. Since it has this error when it tries to sync disks, I suspect it is the EZ-DRIVE software on my HD (EZ-DRIVE enables my IDE controller to handle drives greater than 528MB) conflicts with this. Can anybody reccomend a patch or fix of some sort. I really do wish to run FreeBSD on my computer, and I do not want to wait until v3.0.
