You should look at Kaffe, see www.kaffe.org I use it under FreeBSD and it works just fine for me, I like the speed of version 0.84 (JDK 1.02) it is only 25% slower to compile on my P133 than our Alpha 2100A/300. : Personally, I'm not too thrilled with the linux port (I've clocked it : at >5x slower than sol/x86) and the lack of freebsd port... so I'm : seriously contemplating switching over to solaris/x86 on my desktop : =(. : --sf
