hello again

I am having problems setting up my network card in FreeBSD.

I have installed it and recompiled the kernel to suit, on boot up the
system finds the card and returns lots of confimration information.
However, as bootup continues, there are a couple of messages telling me
that "device ed1 has timed out" and I can't get any network access. Do the
messages mean that it is all configured properly and should work or are the
messages only telling me that everything should work and the card is
faulty.....am I missing something here in the setup?
I've scoured the man pages, FAQ and handbook, (OK, so haven't bought the
proper books yet, but I'm going to!!)

In the meantime...HELP!!

Luv dirc
