I'm struggling setting up CNews and NNTP from the ports collection on my
home machine. Once it is running there, the installation needs to be
done on the production machine.

With CNews I'll probably eventually find my way. But with NNTP it is
beyond my knowledge and guessing-power where the problem is. Compile is
done, entries in /etc/services and /etc/inetd are made. But telnetting
to localhost at port 119 (nntp) closes the connection again immediately.
Is there any link I need to establish between NNTPD and CNews? How?

I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Kurt
