:P~I have a 1 Gig Exabyte Tape drive (SCSI) in my BSD 2.1 server. I have been

:P~ DUMP: Change Volumes: Mount volume #2
:P~ DUMP: Is the new volume mounted and ready to go?: ("yes" or "no") n
:P~ DUMP: Do you want to abort?: ("yes" or "no") y
:P~ DUMP: The ENTIRE dump is aborted.

:P~I have a feeling it is because the tapes are QIC-3020 formatted. Is there
:P~anyway to reformat these tapes for use with dump?

Shouldn't you be using the raw device for dumps? I generally
use /dev/rst0 on my 8gig Exabytes without incident.
