I just bought a K5 today, with a VX mother board. I made a boot
disk for FreeBSD and tried booting, but it gets as far as "Verifying DMI
Pool Data..." and hangs. With a NetBSD boot disk, it just boots from the
hard drive into MS-DOS. Linux does the same as FreeBSD.

This message seems to be coming from the BIOS, because it gives
that message when I intentionally boot to MS-DOS, too. Is there anything
that you guys could recommend so that I could get to using a real OS. ;)

						Thanks a LOT in advance,
						Jaime
