However within the last month and a half it's stopped responding on three occassions, two within the last week. When it stops responding, it doesn't return pings, and stops doing the DNS thing. Bring up top and there doesn't seem to be any processes that were going nuts, and plenty of memory free. The solution is a quick shutdown and reboot of the machine. Of course it follows the comet rule. ( If a comet were to hit the earth there is a 70% chance it will land in the ocean, if the FreeBSD machine goes down there's a 70% chance it will be sometime I'm at home asleep ). If anyone has any ideas or pointers on things to look for I would appreciate any input. Also there doesn't seem to be anything exciting in the syslog or messages. And there is more than plenty o disk space. Thanks.... -=joseph jmscott@ainet.com==-
