I seem to be having a strange problem with my Intel Etherxpress 16 ISA on my
FreeBSD v2.2.1 Pentium 120.

Whenever a stream of network data gets sent or received by the machine, I will
get a series of kernel messages saying ix0: Device Timeout. I thought this was
either an IRQ conflict or Base IO addr. conflict. So I removed everything from
the computer except the Network Card, SCSI Controller, and Video Card. The
Intel Etherxpress is on IRQ 5, Base Address 300x0. Nothing else even comes
close to conflicting with it. Also, if I try and do a flood ping on a device
on the local network I get a message saing sendto: No space left in Buffer.
Funny thing is, network data still transfers to and from the machine, but at a
very slow rate.

Might this be something to do with the memory settings on the network card?

BTW: I have tried to different Intel Etherxpress Cards, and bother of them on
IRQ 5 and 10, but the problem persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
