I don't know enough about FreeBSD (I'm a new user) to investigate
this, but, I get exactly the problem described above when I try to
run xperfmon++. I can attempt to investigate it if someone wants
to give me suggestions on how to investigate. I tried running it
under gdb, and when it died after a few seconds, with the above
error, gdb said: "Program exited with code 01". Then, when I
typed "where", gdb said: "No stack." hmm.
