The : same way the LINT and GERERIC configs are shiped. Perhaps it would be possible to have an html-based kernel configuration script, which would allow someone to specify their hardware configuration to a remote server, which would use it to generate a boot.flp tailored to their system. The hard parts would be to build in range/consistency checking and reasonable links to the documentation for the configuration variables. People who can boot the GENERIC kernel could also use the script on their local machine for general-purpose system configuration. -Greg
