I'm thinking of installing netBSD on my aging Mac II. I'm in the process
of testing the ability to boot the kernal. I've downloaded the Booter 1.95
and the netbsd kernal 1.21. As far as I can tell, I've followed the
instructions in the FAQ (monochrome, turning other extensions off,
installing Mode32, etc) for testing. However, when try the boot sequence,
I'm getting a warning that "the kernal is in an improper format". Just to
make sure, I downloaded the kernal again, making sure that I did the
transfer as binary, but it didn't seem to have an effect.

Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Please respond via email. TIA.
