I noticed that the primary FTP site moved from www.freebsd.org to
freebsd.cdrom.com, which is cool, except apparently the same directory
structure was not used because when I went to reinstall FreeBSD 2.2.2
with the boot image I had, it could not find the distribution files,
even when directly specifying ftp://freebsd.cdrom.com in the Media
Manager potion of sysinstall.. Is a new boot image going to be
generated that reflects the new path structure, or how is this going
to be done exactly? Furthurmore, since many of the Makefiles for
various ports call the old address, will all the ports have to be
fixed too? I didn't even know the archive was being moved, was there
an announcement that I missed,,, or am I just totally confused here?
:)
