Glimpse is easy to set up and configure and GlimpseHTTP comes with a rady made web interface, mainly writtn in Perl although the main indexing application is in C, although you don't need to get your hands dirty! It's blindingly fast.. I can't remember where to get it from (it's free) so i suggest you try Yahoo. dirc James Moses wrote in article <5nn9at$bs4@news.vcnet.com>... >Anyone got Excite for Web Servers freeware search engine to work for FreeBSD. >Excite says that it only works for BSDI.
