I'm thinking a PC running freebsd without a keyboard and monitor (except when installing), a network card and a multiport serial card, then plug the other unix console ports in. I Need to have the serial port data logged to files at all times. It would also be nice to be able to "attach" to a port with a terminal session and "detach" from the port for interactive work on the other unix systems. Anyone know of any software to do this? Anyone using a unix box as a master unix console? tia -------------------------------------------- Lloyd M Caldwell Sr. System programmer email: lmc@chpc.utah.edu phone: 801-585-9299 fax: 801-585-5366 hardcopy: University of Utah Center for High Performance Computing 85 SSB Salt Lake City, UT 84112
