We are running BSDi 2.0.5 with an external 14.4 external modem on com
port 1 (tty00). Using tip or cu I can call out perfectly with the modem.
What I am trying to do, however, is be able echo commands directly to
the modem from shell scripts for example to page someone, etc. Needless
to say, I can't get it to work.
All I want to be able to do is something like:
    echo "atdt 123-4567" > /dev/tty00

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  Kelly
