On Cheyenne's site, they have agents for many of the Unix variants. In particular I downloaded the BSDI and Linux versions. I of course used the BSDI version first and upon execution on the FreeBSD box, it appeared to work. However, when doing the backup, the NT box said it made the connection to BSD and then failed with the error that the socket didn't respond or timed out - could not get files. On the FreeBSD box, the uagent canceled due to a signal 12 and/or 11. So, I thought, maybe it is a BSDI/FreeBSD incompatibility in this binary, so I installed the Linux version and gave it a shot. This one, would not even execute. Is there anyone who has gotten the uagent to successfully send/backup its files on FreeBSD? If so, how? Sincerely, Jeff Genender jgenend@ibm.net
