Subject: [Q] How do _you_ boot 386BSD with LILOv8 ?
Summary: I am having -(luck) trying to get this working!
Keywords: LILO, 386BSD, Linux

Subject pretty much says it all. I have only 3 partitions on a 200mb
IDE (DOS 5.0, Linux 0.98, 386BSD 0.1 [in that order]) that I'd like to
boot with Lilo version 8.

DOS and Linux (actually, 3 different Linux images) boot fine. Trying to
boot 386BSD simply reboots the system; my guess is I have the range
set wrong. Trying to use chain.b failed (version 8 of Lilo seems to check
for a valid boot signature, and fails for 386BSD).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also: 386BSD gurus >> is there any reason why 386BSD will not recognize or
understand (or use) logical drives in an extended
partition? To compund problems, if an extended
partition is even on the drive, disklabel cannot
correctly read or write the label! I'd like to
have (on the IDE): DOS, 386BSD, Linux root,
386BSD swap, Linux swap. I also have a 340mb SCSI
where I intend to put the 386BSD source tree, /usr,
Linux /usr, and a /home partition for each. Again,
same problem if 386BSD won't allow me to use more
		      than 4 partitions per drive.

Thanks much (and point me to a FAQ if this is answered: I have checked all
the FAQ's and docs found on 386BSD and LILO that I know of, but there may
be more :D )
