Hmm. Now I am concerned.

1152x900 32 bpp gives me ~350 RPM. 1600x1280 8 bpp gives me ~1200 RPM.
This is on a P120 32M. 32 bpp being 4 times as 'thick' makes sense
to be a quarter the speed of 8, but it looks like I am doing about half
as good as you are.

P.s. I just upgraded the server on my laptop to 3.3 just for the
hell of it. I am surprised to see how much faster it is too!
It is a 65545 that I have been running at 800x600 16 bpp. It
used to be that when netscape scrolled, you could see the little
'wave of scroll' going from one side to the other, but It's
speedy now!

Too bad the (crappy) TVGA9000 I am forced to use at work isn't
any quicker. :-/
