Thanks to all who replied my previous posting. Unfortunately,
zmodem still does not work. And this makes me suspect there is
something wrong with my hardware or software configuration.

I have a hayes compatible 2400 baud modem and a multi-IO card
which supports 2 serial ports and 1 parallel port. I disbaled
one serial port on the IO card by pulling out the jumpers.
Mouse system mouse is attaced to the other serial port and
assigned as com1 (or com01 and the mode is rw-rw-rw- or 666).
Modem port is assigned to com2.

386bsd kernel I'm using is the one I compiled at ref with XSERVER.
Other than this, everything else comes in the standard distribution.
(including both bsd386 0.1 and Xfree86)

I use kermit to transfer files so far. Also, I have successfully
transferred files using both zmodem (supported by TE/2 for OS/2) and
kermit in OS/2. [This makes me think that I don't have the right
zmodem programs in the first place.]

When I transfer text files, rz works fine. However, when I trnasfer
binary files, I got:

Retry 0: Data subpacket too long
... repeat several times, and then
   Bad CRC
... repeat several times, and then some message like 'check the
BUG report in the man page.'

The above errors occurred for both seyon 1.8 and kermit. Seyon 1.8
supports auto zmodem download. And I entered '! rz < /dev/com2 > /dev/com2'
to transfer files when I use kermit.

Any idea/comment? Thanks for your time.
