Tel: +1-206-632-0869 4529 4th Ave NE Seattle, WA 98105 email: info@netdisc.com orders@netdisc.com There are a couple of pretty trivial errata on this issue, which are worth mentioning up-front: - The CD is labelled "April 1997", but it was really pre-mastered at the end of May, so it should say May 1997. What happened was that we were almost set to ship a 2.2.1 disc, when we were surprised by the "Stealth Release (2.2.2)". The new bits got on the CDs, but the covers/cases were not reprinted, so they have the wrong date. - The FreeBSD install will say "This doesn't look like a FreeBSD CD"; choose the ignore button, and install will proceed flawlessly. The reason for this message is that we included two version of FreeBSD on the CD-ROM, and the installer looks for a file called 'cdrom.inf' in the root of the CD; since we included two FreeBSD versions, we couldn't include both cdrom.inf files in the root, and including one or the other would generate a far more confusing warning from the installer. As it is, this warning is completely safe to ignore. Thanks for your interest. -- BSDisc is a trademark of DiscNet, Inc.
