Hi,
we are using our "old" terminalserver boxes for this purpose. One
modem at the first port and up to 9 serial devices hooked on the
others. Ranging from Cisco to Ascend. You can telnet to the box and
you have out of bend access.
Loging can be easy. If you are telneting to the box just use the good
old 'script'. Or use a terminal emulation like kermit our seyon and
enable the logfile mechanism.
