I'm trying to install FreeBSD 2.1.6 from CD-ROM on my IBM ThinkPad 755CD. The CD ROM is FRU P/N 85G1914, ASM P/N 84G6361 -- In MS-DOS mscdex the driver is listed as TPCD001. I haven't been able to get the FreeBSD install to recognize the CD-ROM drive and although I've been able to get a partial install by copying the directories to the MS-DOS partition, I would like to be able to both install from and use the CD-ROM drive. I'm hoping that there's something simple that I've not done - has anyone installed under similar situations? Again, all help greatly appreciated.
