This modification and an otherwise : stock /etc with a minimal set of wires allow me to login via my : trusty hp48. I had a really odd problem. (Actually, have.) When I set up the bootblock for serial console, suddenly cuaa0 stopped working and ttyd0 started. If I boot with the keyboard plugged in, setting the standard console, cuaa0 is the only thing that works again.
