The IDE cdrom has always been one of our more "iffy" propositions (and I wish I could get more folks to work on that driver but everyone seems to be running SCSI everything) and the SMC ethernet support has been a rock, right up until they introduced those stupid 9332 cards which were incompatible with their other products. The 3am software driver you're running is also not well integrated or tested yet (which is why it's not yet in the tree) so I can't say I'm too surprised at this. I've shipped some of these cards to Peter Wemm, our current man-on-point where this is concerned, and we should hopefully have this resolved fairly soon. -- - Jordan Hubbard FreeBSD core team / Walnut Creek CDROM.
