I am looking for some help trying to use the scsicmd program in
controlling an Archive 4586np magazine DAT drive. I want to be able to
position the magazine via the command line.

I have the appropriate Archive DAT manual with the commands for
controlling the drive and magazine but it seems to be written in a
language totally foreign to the command reference discussed in the
scsicmd man pages. I have been successful only in using the lu command.

If you have any experience using the scsicmd program under BSDI 3.0 and
dealing with magazine drives an or addressing luns I would appreciate
hearing from you. Seagate tech support was interested in my problem but
is having to do some research to see if they can help.

Thanks

peter
