[ details omitted for brevity ] Kinda looks like you've reinstalled X from scratch. If so, unfortunately, you're going to have to rebuild your former X environment by hand, unless you have you a backup of the relevant files. One reason why I've adopted a policy of upgrading new FreeBSD releases by rebuilding the sources. More time-consuming, yes, but less likely to trounce over whatever you've already taken months to tune to your liking. It looks like the installer still could do a better job of preserving/migrating the old environment, I'm afraid (hard to know exactly what needs to be saved, though, in any given environment; the responsibility really is on *your* shoulders). Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings. :-) -- Conrad Sabatier http://www.neosoft.com/~conrads
