I vaguely remember seeing something in this news group about Mac suppliers being a good place to get decent prices on SCSI stuff so I've begun to look. One place I've looked has the following at the beginning of the disk-drive price list: "All hard drives are formatted for Macintosh." Now common sense tells me that that should not be a problem and that reformatting should cure that. But I've been burned by believing common sense before.... So--is this a problem or not? If I were to buy such a disk drive, will I be able to use it with FreeBSD? Thanks for any information. -- Best regards, Charlie "Older than dirt" Sorsby Los Alamos, NM "I'm the NRA!" crs@swcp.com www.swcp.com/~crs Life Member since 1965
