could someone please explain this install stuff that to me means
#$@^&*being the beginner that I am. I am trying to get freebsd on my
computer I have a ppp account to connect to my college and use win95 but
can get confused using ms-dos. What does this below mean- I have
downloaded fdimage and boot.flp to my c: drive in the folder
c:\freebsd??? Thanks,that is if I get a response...
2.Download the installation boot disk image file to your hard drive, and
be sure to tell your browser to save
rather than display. Note: This disk image can only be used with
1.44 megabyte 3.5 inch floppy disks.
3.Make the installation boot disk from the image file:
If you are using MS-DOS download fdimage.exe, then run it like
so:
E:\> tools\fdimage floppies\boot.flp a:
The program will format the A: drive and then copy the
boot.flp image onto it (assuming that you're at
the top level of a FreeBSD distribution and the floppy images
live in the floppies subdirectory).
