My box does the same thing, but there is a way to overcome that problem. Try changing your screen font with vidfont and then try using vidcontrol. Making the mouse work with syscons also may reactivate the VGA_80x50 mode. Linux fonts will work with FreeBSD. In fact, I got the script font loaded up right now. Perhaps there should be more fonts included in the standard FreeBSD distribution. eyager@novagate.com
