Speaking of which is there any way to change which bit of the disk bad144 uses? I had a disk with some dead sectors, tried bad144 on it, and one of the duff sectors was where bad144 was trying to store information... I solved it by just using partitioning to avoid that bit of the disk in the end, but I wondered if there was a better way. -Dom -- This posting does not represent the opinion of Demon Internet. ---- Work: hdm@demon.net ---- Play: dom@myrddin.demon.co.uk ---- "I find GUIs in general severely damage my productivity.
