Each and every time am install is a real adventure unlike those ho-hum
sedate Linux ones. This last escapade brought up a few questions.

1) Why does bits and pieces of the Xwindow software have group `10'? What
to do replace it with wheel or create a group `10' in group and join?
Or is there some easier way to do this?

2) In 2.2.1 and in 2.2.2 the BSD games did not install completely or with
proper permissions. Is there a magic incantation for this?

3) Why would mgetty commandeer ppp and become unkillable by somehow
intwining with init? Do not recall configuring the fax set-up to fire up
at boot and continue even after pkg_delete and a few rm -r for the
remanants. That was truly weird.

4) And lastly when the trashing, loss or forgetting of root's passwd
occurs how do you fix it?. Single user (at least when I tried could not
use vipw) did not do it. (The time between install and adding login.conf)

Anyway FreeBSD is an adventure in learning. Does that imp represent the
bedevilment of installation? /stand/sysinstall worked great. And all is
now in reasonable order.

cheers
