Hi,

I tried to netboot my MicroVAX 2000 from a Linux box, but I had no
success.

MOP, RARP, and rpc.bootparamd seem working fine: the VAX can boot the
bootfile, it can determine its IP address. After that the VAX sends a
request for its root fs, then nfs-mounts it and loads the netbsd kernel.

I tried to load several kernels, first `netbsd' from
ftp://ifib4.ifib.uni-karlsruhe.de/pub/NetBSD-vax/netboot.tar.gz. After
loading this kernel nothing happens. Nothing at the console, nothing at
the logs.

With `netbsd.GENERIC' (copied from ftp://ftp.stacken.kth.se/disk2/OS/
NetBSD/arch/vax/snapshot/) and with `netbsd-v31' (ftp'ed from
ftp://ifib4.ifib.uni-karlsruhe.de/pub/NetBSD-vax/netbsd-v31.gz) happens a
little bit more. After loading the kernel the VAX sends a query (now the
second time) for its root fs, and then for its swap file. After that I can
ping the VAX from the Linux side, but no further messages appear on the
VAX console.

Netbooting `edlabel' or `copy' gives the same output.

The output of the VAX console in every cases:

	>>> b esa0

	-ESA0

	Nboot
	: /netbsd
	le_softc.sc_r2 = 0x3a0000
	device: le0 attached to 08:00:2b:0f:a2:11
	boot: client IP address: 192.168.1.2
	boot: client name: winnie
	root addr=192.168.1.1 path=/netboot/root
	675840+35840+70136 start 0x98bbe

Help, please!
