I've installed Mr. Brian Somers newest ppp
patch and ppp tunneling (PPP over TCP) onto
	a freebsd-2.2.1-gamma and a 2.2.2 machine, and
	everything works great!

	thank you Mr. Somers.

the man page gave reasonable directions, but my
first test case was on two machines on the same network,
and this didn't work (route collisions? causing configuration
errors?) but as soon as i tested in on two machines on
	different networks, everything worked.
