Mattingly) Newsgroups: comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc Subject: Weird (EZboot?) message Date: 30 Jun 1997 22:28:25 GMT Organization: North Carolina State University Lines: 28 Message-ID: <5p9bu9$1e@uni00nw.unity.ncsu.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: kodiak.eos.ncsu.edu X-Newsreader: TIN [UNIX 1.3 950824BETA PL0] Xref: euryale.cc.adfa.oz.au comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc:43816 My current config is as follows: Scsi id 0: slice 1 - FAT filesystem (ick) slice 2 - FreeBSD's / filesystem Scsi id 1: slice 1 - FreeBSD When the machine comes up, I'm happily prompted for F1 or F2 - DOS or BSD. When I hit F2, the following message (which seems harmless) comes up: Cannot find 'boot.config' And then it proceeds to give me the freebsd loader, and i'm into freebsd land. Any idea why it's printing that, and what could be done to fix it? [And is it truly harmless? :)] TIA, -Chris -- Chris Mattingly | My views are not necessarily those of my employers camattin@ncsu.edu | NC State University/ITECS | "Good programmers write good code; great Systems Programmer | programmers 'borrow' good code." -- Mike Gancarz
