The simplest way is to go to http://www.cdrom.com and buy FreeBSD-2.2.2.
You cannot beat having the files on a cdrom when things do not go right.

You can spend vast amounts of time downloading it and lose it in a install
foul-up and then you will spend again vast amounts of time downloading it.
Besides buying the cdroms supports and encourages further development of
FreeBSD.
