1. Visit http://www.freebsd.org
  1a. Check handbook and FAQ
  1b. Search mailing list archives using likely keywords.  Follow links.

2. Net search for your question with Alta-Vista or similar search
engine.  There's a growing number of independant FreeBSD resources on
the net these days.

3. Ask as specific a question as possible (being also sure to indicate
important details such as your OS version) in
freebsd-hackers@freebsd.org and hope one of our volunteer tech support
folk can answer you.

4. Post in comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc. :-)
