My README.freebsd is wrong, sorry.
If you have a CD-Recorder that is the second cd drive,
you will probably need to add a link from /dev/scgx to /dev/cd0c
cd /dev
ln -s cd1c scgx
If the drive identifies as WORM drive (old drives only)
cdreate a symlink from /dev/scgx to /dev/worm0 or /dev/worm.ctl
( I have no access to a machine, so I don't know what is right )
