Sure. Check out SO_KEEPALIVE in the setsockopt() man page. I believe
SunOS will do a keepalive every 20 minutes, but I don't really know.
It doesn't matter all that much. SO_KEEPALIVE is really intended
to simply avoid having stale connections open for days and days.
