Sendmail will run for two or three weeks usually and then will suddenly refuse to accept any mail. The ps -axj command shows sendmail is still running but has the "refusing connections" message next to it. There was some other part of the message that seemed to indicate that some maximum number of something had been reached. This machine's main job is email so are there some parameters in sendmail.cf that I can change to increase system resources allocated to sendmail? What is the # open connection cache size O ConnectionCacheSize=2 entry referring to? (2 seems rather small). thanks in advance, +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Alexander Stuy Senior Programmer/Analyst 221 Conradi Bldg Dept. of Biological Science Florida State University Tallahassee, Fl. 32306-2043 (904)644-1006 astuy@bio.fsu.edu http://bio.fsu.edu/htmls/alex.html +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
