After doing a vanilla install from the Walnut Creek cd set, I noticed that ANY mail message is severely lagged before it's sent. If I send a message to a local user on the machine with elm (for instance) it pauses at the "sending mail" prompt for 3-4 minutes! After that it sends it and it works fine, just lags EVERY time. Any ideas? Also, where can I get info on setting up mail service with FreeBSD? We're getting in an ISDN connection for the office and I want to set up the BSD box as an internet mail server for the office. Thanks for any help. Greg Stritmater senip@j51.com
