I am planning to buy a printer which I would like to use with FreeBSD. I should mention that I have not installed FreeBSD on my computer yet. I have narrowed my list to the following printers: Hewlett Packard Laserjet 6L Okidata OL600e or OL610e Raven Ls-6 I would like to access the full capability of the printer under FreeBSD (i.e. its dpi and print speed), and so I would like to know, among whatever other info you might have, if any of these printers can only access their 'full potential' under MS Windows. Also, if you could shed some light on any PCL requirement for printing under FreeBSD, and Postscript stuff too 8-). Of the little information that I have so far, I got it from reading postings to the Linux news group (it seems that there is much more support for Linux than FreeBSD ?=( ) You can e-mail me directly at yu132719@yorku.ca TIA for your help, Ron
