Let's not turn this into a pissing contest, shall we?

The only emperical observation I can make about FreeBSD vs Linux is
that the networking code appears to be somewhat more robust in
FreeBSD. 

The most practical observation I can make is that the only thing
that's probably going to matter to you is how much support and
resource you have access to. Like the FreeBSD team and writeups and
things and maybe know some people running it who you can turn to? It's
for you. Know a bunch of Linux people? Maybe that's your path, unless
you're a dyed-in-the-wool rebel like some of us :-)

The best observation I can make is that the BSD Daemon logo is _much_
cooler than that Penguin :-)
