Both systems have ASUS boards and SCSI disks, This is a known problem and we currently have no idea why it happens - it appears to be fairly rare, and none of our test machines will cooperate by doing it. We're investigating the problem and hope to release a new correctional boot floppy soon (and no, I don't know when that will be). In the meantime, if you still have a 2.2.1 boot floppy then you can use it for installing 2.2.2 if you simply change the release string in the options menu. -- - Jordan Hubbard FreeBSD core team / Walnut Creek CDROM.
