hi, i am trying to use netbsd-m68k (1.2.1) on a LC520 (68LC030) with NO
fpu with 20mb of RAM and a 160mb HD. i am new to the unix scene and have
some very, very basic questions that i haven't been able to find
answers. Please help!

1) I can't boot up the system, is there a kernel out there
"specifically" for a LC520 without fpu?
2) I am sure i've read it somewhere, ie. the FAQ, that the fpu emulation
will work with 030, but not 040 machines, and that the current
incarnation of NetBSD will run on machines w/o FPU, is it true?
3) is the HD enogh? for all of the packages including X11R6? (ps. all i
wish to do now with NetBSD is to learn the basics of UNIX, the machine
will be used alone, not on a network)
4) The installer finished the installation without problems, how can i
further confirm that installation is successful?
5) Are there books out there available for NetBSD?
6) Can i expect to run packages for FreeBSD ( ie, because there seem to
be a large selection of them out there), without major
recode/recompile/re-whatever...?
7) Will you recommend NetBSD for someone who has absolutely no unix
experience at all?
8) Thank you for your help! :-)
