I've installed FreeBSD 2.2.2 on my GVC Notebook Green740:
- i486 dx4/100 Mhz (Due memory module problem I set to 75Mhz)
- 16MB RAM (4Mb on board + 12 MB module)
- 777MB TOSHIBA HD (666MB FreeBSD, 111MB DOS)
- Video C&T 65540, 1MB RAM, TFT LCD. (X, xdm, fvwm2, etc. installed)
- PCMCIA CL PD672X, 2 slots (PAO installed, I'm using Ethernet and Modem
cards )
- APM 1.0, broken APM BIOS (I discover, APM BIOS trying to read/write
directly from/to memory segment 40H and kernel panics). Anyway with PAO
installed suspend is working !?!.
- Sound & SCSI module (swapable with FD)
- Sound Card Crystal CS4232 (only way to use is to run from dos
CS4232C.EXE, boot FreeBSD with FBSDBOOT.EXE, and set souncard to
SB PRO, its easy) (audioserver, fvwm2 audio, etc installed)
- Adaptec SCSI 1510 (I'm connecting external CD to it)
- TrackBall PS/2 mouse (moused, vidcontrol -m on)
- Japanese 106 key keyboard (jp.106 keymap, canna, kinput2)
I have two questions:
1.Is it better to keep BOUNCE_BUFFERS option in kernel config
or remove it?
2.Is it better to set AUTO_EOI_1 and AUTO_EOI_2 options or leave them
unchanged?
