Hi All

As you'll no doubt discover I'm new to FreeBSD. I've got 2.2.2
installed an running okay on a 486DX33/8MB/170MB(IDE). I'm really
just toying with it with a view to learning more about Unix.

I'm trying to get a PC acting as a serial dumb terminal to connect to
COM1 or 2 on the BSD machine. I've editted /etc/ttys and set the
relavant parts of the lines for ttyd0 & ttyd1 to "vt100 on secure",
leaving the rest alone as "std.9600" etc. But I can't get the
terminal to be presented with a login? I can output to the terminal
with

	ls -l > /dev/cuaa0

and read what it sends (appart from no CRLF). I'm using a laplink
cable for now is this my problem? I know the pin outs are listed in
the handbook or FAQ, but I don't have my tools with me at present.

Thanks for your time
